Activities

EWA collects and consolidates the data provided by its members, Associations and Companies under the confidentiality requested by such an activity.
Reports are produced quarterly for the trends of Equipments and Consumables and annually more detailed.

EWA is active on all directives and European laws impacting our scope of activities. Among them the following:

Low Voltage Risks: Directive 2006/95/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 December 2006 on the harmonisation of the laws of Member States relating to electrical equipment designed for use within certain voltage limits (LVD)
Electromagnetic compatibility Risks: Directive 2004/108/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 December 2004 on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
Hazardous substances Risks: Directive 2002/95/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 January 2003 on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (ROHS)
Waste Risks: Directive 2002/96/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 January 2003 on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)
Chemical Risk: Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH)
Classification and Labelling Risk Category: Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 December 2008 on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures (CLP)
